Meanwhile, Erika was turning off the Arlington Expressway Bridge, and making a right into a commercial building where her doctor’s offices were located. Erika pulled into the parking lot and headed inside the building. She immediately approached the receptionist desk.

“Hi!” A thirty-something, slim, bronze-pale complexion female with deep blond hair greeted her with a smile. “How can I help you ma’am?”

“Yes, I’m here to see Doctor Murray. I have an 8:30 appointment.” Erika stated with a smile.

“One moment please!” The receptionist replied as she checked the appointment book, and located Erika’s name. “Okay, here we are! Your Ms. Erika Foster right?”

“Yes!” Erika said.

“Great! He’s expecting you.” She said as she got on the phone, and confirmed to the doctor that Erika was there. “Okay,” She replied before she hung up the phone. “Ms. Foster, you may go in now.”

“Thanks!” Erika said, and headed down the hallway. She was greeted by a man in his mid-fifties with a deep pale complexion and brownish curly hair.

“Good morning Ms. Foster.” He said as he extended his hand towards her.

“Good morning Doctor Weiser.” She replied and shared handshakes. They stepped into a luxury decorated office.

“Have a seat, Ms. Foster.” He said as he directed towards a set of chairs and took a seat behind his desk. “Ms. Foster, I received your medical records and after looking over them, I think we can repair your tubes to a point where you’ll be able to carry a child to full term without any complications. So, may I ask how long it will be before you’re going to try to get pregnant?”

“As soon as possible Doc.” Erika’s response was filled with excitement. “My husband is ready for a family.”

“Great! Well in that case, let’s go ahead and make arrangements to conduct the surgery. How does next week sound?” The doctor asked.

“Perfect Doc.” Erika replied with a smile.

“Okay,” the doctor said as he wrote down some notes. “Ms. Foster, you are aware of the cost for this procedure because it is a bit expensive.”

“Yes! Your receptionist explained to me that the procedure cost in the range of ten thousand.” Erika stated.

“That’s correct, Ms. Foster. Will you be using Medicare?” He asked.

“No Doc! I’m prepared to pay cash. Is that fine?” Erika asked.

“That’s perfect! I prefer cash.” He replied as he wrote more notes. “Well Ms. Foster, that’s all I have until next week. Do you have any question?”

“No Doc...I’m just ready to have a family.” She stated and her smile beamed.

“Wonderful!” He said and shared her smile. “Well Ms. Foster, I will go ahead and arrange the necessary paperwork. Just give my receptionist a call tomorrow and she will notify you of the date and time. Congratulation!” He stated as they both rose to their feet and exchanged a handshake.

“Thank you, Doc! I will see you next week.” Erica said as she prepared to exit the room.

“I’m looking forward to it.” He said as he walked Erika to the door. “Take care, Ms. Foster.”

“Likewise Doc!” She replied and headed out of the building.
